Our role

InspectMyYacht helps yacht buyers identify independent marine surveyors near a vessel. We do not carry out surveys, we do not act as a broker or seller, and we are not a party to any agreement you enter into with a surveyor or boatyard.

Any survey is contracted directly between you and the professional you appoint. Their scope, fees, terms and liability are set by that agreement.

Educational content on this site explains how yacht surveys generally work. It is general information, not advice about a specific vessel or transaction.

Local factual data — facility specifications, capacities, pricing and seasonality — is published with a source and a verification date where we have verified it. Specifications and prices change; always confirm current details directly with the facility or professional concerned.

No guarantees

Nothing on this site guarantees safety, guarantees that a survey will identify every defect, or guarantees financial protection. A survey reduces uncertainty; it does not eliminate risk.
